I believe that once again this year we have a choice between a gentle stroll toward socialism with McCain (although some argue he may actual take us on a rather brisk walk) versus a full sprint to socialism with Obama (think Usain Bolt). I don't think either candidate is addressing what needs to be done in our economy to bolster and support long-term entrepreneurial economic development.
That being said, here are a couple of links that compare the stated policies of Obama and McCain that relate to small business: from inc.com and CNN Money.com.

Every day I see small business owners struggling to achieve – what is – the American dream. We need sound economic policies that provide tax breaks and removes any bureaucratic hurdles that stifle innovation for small business owners. Since our country was founded on the “right to pursue happiness, these policies should provide opportunities for small business owners to achieve economic freedom and prosperity.
I am currently researching both canidates positions on small business for a policy paper in my US plicy process course at Virginia Tech. The more I read into each canidates position I find that they only adress 4 major issues; taxs, energy costs, gloabal markets and healthcare. I am not a political major nor do I have extensive knowledge of the formentioned issues but I feel as though the canidates must be overlooking many issues. Can anyone explain to me where these four issues came from and why are they the major focus of both canidates? I understand that these are important issues but I want to know why they are the only issues mentiond regaurding Small business. thank you for your insight
